In its simplest from, a computer network consist of two devices, whom are able to send ad receive data (sharing resources). We will begin by studying concepts that every network uses today. Those concepts must be mastered to understand how the compuiter network works and how to troubleshoot it based on that knowledge.
What you will learn in Networking will help you understand the:
- OSI model
- TCP/IP model
- IP/MAC/Ports
- Traffic Types
- Network Devices( Switches, Routers)
- Subnetting, host subnetting, network subnetting and reverse engineer subnetting
- VLAN(subnet) usage.
- Spanning Tree Protocol.
- Routing between VLANs
- Routing concept: add/remove and connect routes of the routing table
As in most posts, each one of those topics will be associated with at least one use case (scenario) to establish of when and where to use the technology.
